Wood frame is built on back side of door to receive mattress or box spring. Adjustable-tension counterbalanced spring units control decent and assist ascent. Fully mounted inside cabinet, not bolted to the floor! Modified to a horizontal-opening mechanism where taller cabinets are not desired. The control cylinders fasten to the sides of the platform and fit into brackets mounted inside the sidewalls of the cabinet.
